Rules
  • Pinch runners may be used for 3 players to be determined at the beginning of each game. You can run only for the pitcher, catcher and 1 player of your choice. The runner must be a sub and not in the batting order. If there are no subs then the last batted out can pinch run. If the player running previously has been entered into the order, the player he is pinch hitting for is now the runner.
  • Pitchers are allowed to pitch 5 innings per game and 7 per day.
  • You can start a game with 8 players. If a team is unable to field a team of 8 players, they have to let the league know by 2 PM the Saturday before the games and a forfeit will be the decision awarding 2 wins to the opponent and umpires need to be aware there is no longer a doubleheader. If you think you might have 8 players or more you must show up and play. Teams are allowed 10 minutes as a grace period after the scheduled game time to wait for an 8th player, after that time has expired and the team still has 7 or less, a forfeit is the result and you may scrimmage with what you have.
  • All players playing the following Sunday must be added to your roster on the website before the first pitch of your games, even ringers. Weeks 1 and 2 of league play are considered weeks teams are still figuring out their rosters and recruiting so this rule is exempt those weeks. Feel free to move some players to the inactive tab on your roster to make room for ringers that day.
  • Players must play 7 league games to be eligible for playoffs. If a player gets injured early in the season and can return for playoffs them the eligibility of that player will be voted by all coaches in the league. Proof of injury will be required.
  • Games have a 2 hours and 20 minutes time limit. No new inning can start after the 2 hours and 10 minutes mark. You must finish the inning if time has been reached.
  • Each team must take a picture of their scorebook and upload it to the Google Doc after each doubleheader for each game. This is to eliminate drama and help with playoff eligibility since not every team enters stats on the website.
  • Playoffs are double elimination and seeds are determined by league standings. In the 1st round, the 3 seed plays the 6 seed and the 4 seed plays the 5 seed. The 1 seed plays the winner of 4 vs 5, and the 2 seed plays the winner of 3 vs 6. In the event of a tie, the tie breaker is 1st determined by record vs the opponent you are tied with, then by run differential vs that opponent, and in the event both are tied still then run differential overall. If still tied, record vs the number 1 seed, then number 2 seed. If there is still a tie, a coin flip will determine the higher seed.
  • If a player is ejected, they get a 1 game suspension and are fined $30 and it goes to the league bank. A 2nd occurrence is a full season suspension and additional $30 fine.
